Official Communications Channels

The Office of Student Services is responsible for conveying important information to students. Students are responsible for checking their ERAU email account and Canvas Learning Management System page. These are the only two platforms ERAU will use to communicate official information to students.

Additional platforms for non-official communication may include any of the following:

  • Messaging apps, such as WhatsApp, SMS, etc.
  • Social Media pages, such as Facebook, Instagram and Twitter

Urgent Information: All students will receive notice of an announcement in Canvas directly from the instructor and/or Academic Officer in the case of urgent information such as a change of classroom, delayed start, cancellation or rescheduling of a class. These notifications usually happen with short notice to all students enrolled in that particular module. Students can expect to receive this sort of urgent information no later than one hour before the commencement of any course module unless extenuating factors exist.

Non-Urgent Information: All students will receive an email from the Office of Student Services to inform them of non-urgent information such as change of classroom, delayed start, cancellation or rescheduling of a class occurring more than 24 hours in advance.
